Description of Scholarship:</h3>

<li>The Applications Deadline is August 31, 2018.</li>
<li>The Course Level is a PhD position.</li>
<li>The Study Subject is for a shared Postdoc position between the Nanoscale Solar Cells group of prof. Erik Garnett at AMOLF (Amsterdam) and the Nanomaterials for Energy Applications group of dr. Andrea Baldi at DIFFER (Eindhoven).</li>
<li>The Advantage of the Scholarship is the gross monthly salary is dependent on qualifications and experience and will be up to a maximum of €4,154 per month. We obtain an outstanding candidate that is willing to work in an international and interdisciplinary team of chemists and physicists. You should have a recent PhD degree in chemistry, physics, materials science or a closely related field. You should be willing to split your working schedule between DIFFER (Eindhoven) and AMOLF (Amsterdam), which will necessarily involve some commuting time (see www.ns.nl for scheduling and commuting times). Please refer to downloadable file ‘IBioIC PhD Competition_1920 Final’ for detailed information related to submissions. In order to enter this competition, the IBioIC Project #6 Entry Form must be completed and returned with requested supporting documentation. Appendix 3 contains instruction relating to the completion of this form which is downloaded as a separate form (Word format). The Project Lead should complete this and submit their entry to the IBioIC Skills Team (skills@ibioic.com) before 1 st October 2018 (12 noon). The intention is to keep entry requirements to a minimum whilst still supplying enough information to allow reviewers to make an informed decision on the relative merit of each project. The Review Panel may request further information on the Project.<br />

It is desirable that the Applicant has working knowledge of research procedure and forms of analysis consisting, but not exclusive to, communication and arts practice, multi modality, voice and conversation theory.<br />

The candidate should hold an MA or MRes in a accepted field of study. The Applicant will bring to this project an in-depth Comprehending of communication, art and sound practice and the wider theoretical and philosophical debates emerging in the field of AI research.<br />
<br />
The applicant should have a command in English which are generally required to provide prrof of proficiency in English at the higher level needed by the University.<br />
<br />
The Applicant will have an active interest and experience in computational culture, sonic theory and ideally, but not necessarily, interaction design.<br />

<li>Applicant should submits all needed documents before the deadline to the RCA Online Application System (PhD application) </li>
<li>The school will review the applications, assigning scores to each section in line with the TECHNE selection process. </li>
<li>The highest rated applicants will be invited to interview.4. During the interview, the applicant’s answers will be scored in line with the TECHNE and AHRC selection criteria. </li>
<li>The school and IBMiX will review the scores and select the applicant with the highest ranking. </li>
<li>The TECHNE Management Group will review the selected application, and an offer will be sent to the successful candidate. </li>
