It is desirable that the Applicant has working knowledge of research procedure and forms of analysis consisting, but not exclusive to, communication and arts practice, multi modality, voice and conversation theory.<br />

The candidate should hold an MA or MRes in a accepted field of study. The Applicant will bring to this project an in-depth Comprehending of communication, art and sound practice and the wider theoretical and philosophical debates emerging in the field of AI research.<br />

The applicant should have a command in English which are generally required to provide prrof of proficiency in English at the higher level needed by the University.<br />
<br />
The Applicant will have an active interest and experience in computational culture, sonic theory and ideally, but not necessarily, interaction design.<br />

<li>The highest rated applicants will be invited to interview.4. During the interview, the applicant’s answers will be scored in line with the TECHNE and AHRC selection criteria. </li>
<li>The school and IBMiX will review the scores and select the applicant with the highest ranking. </li>

1.    The researcher must be an experienced researcher (see Definitions). Periods of inactivity in research (e.g. unemployment, periods of employment outside research, parental or sick leave) do not count towards the time of research experience. <br />

2.    The researcher may be of any nationality. No age restrictions apply. <br />

3.    The researcher should move or have moved from any country to the MS or AC where the beneficiary is situated. Particularly: <br />

<li>The researcher cannot have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the beneficiary for more than 12 months in the three years immediately before the call deadline. </li>
<li>For beneficiaries that are IEIO or international organizations located in a MS or an AC, the experienced researcher must not have spent more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the call deadline in the same appointing organization. </li>
<li>The Compulsory national service, short stays like holidays & time spent as part of a method for getting refugee status (under the 1951 Geneva Convention and the 1967 Protocol) are not taken into account. </li>
<li>Short stays are characterized by the type of activity rather than by a particular number of days. A period can only be considered as a short stay if the researcher did not reside nor have their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country during that period (like as holidays). </li>
<li>After the call deadline, EF-ST proposals not complying with the EF-ST eligibility conditions but complying with the conditions of another panel will be automatically transferred there. </li>
<li>The applicant should have full command in language so that they can continue his further study. </li>

<li>It may be renewed for an additional quarter, without compensation and upon request of the grantee, helped by the tutor’s opinion and subject to approval by the Foundation that reserves the right to decide on the matter. A tutor will be selected by the Foundation as an expert in the selected discipline, in agreement with the grantee, to help the grantee in the research activity and to evaluate the outcomes. </li>
<li>The annual grant will be paid out in 3 installments: </li>
</ul>
a) The 1st , amounting to 40% of total, when the fellowship is gifted; <br />b) The 2nd , amounting to 30% of total, upon submission and evaluation of the half-year report; <br />c) The 3rd , amounting to 30% of total, upon conclusion of the research project and evaluation thereof. <br /><ul style="text-align: left;">
<li>Refunds of documented travel and accommodation ecpenditure related to the Fellowship project are envisaged for up to € 1,500 each year and must be authorized in advance by the Foundation (“mission procedure”) on a proposal by the tutor. </li>

<li>The Last Date of the Scholarship is 30 June 2018 (Universities) and 31 August 2018 (Applicant). </li>
<li>The Host Institute of the Scholarship is The Oxford University. </li>
<li>The Fields of study is full-time postgraduate (Master Degree) degree (including the BA (Bachelor of Arts) with senior status over two years) at the University of Oxford, </li>
<li>This Scholarship is awarded to the Master and PhD degree program, </li>
<li>The Advantage of the Scholarship is that A Rhodes Global Scholarship covers all University of Oxford fees& the University fee of application, and personal stipend. In addition, 1 economy class airfare to Oxford at the begin of the scholarship and one economy flight back to the student’s home country at the conclusion of the scholarship are covered. </li>
<li>The duration of the Scholarship is two years and the Scholarship may be extended for a third year for those who take a recognized route to the DPhil (PhD). </li>
<li>The course of the scholarship will start from the month of October 2019. </li>
<li>This Scholarship is targeted to those applicants, who are not from existing Rhodes constituencies, </li>
<li>The Number of the Scholarship is Two (2). </li>

<br /><b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The following eligibility criteria apply to all applicants for the Rhodes Global Scholarships: </span></b><br />Citizenship & residency: The applicants who are eligible to apply from any of the <a href="https://www.rhodeshouse.ox.ac.uk/scholarships/list-of-rhodes-scholarship-countries/">existing Rhodes constituencies</a> are not eligible for the Global Scholarship.   <br /><br />Age: The applicants must have reached your 18th birthday and not have passed your 24th birthday on 1 October in the year of application. The Successful Applicants will reach in Oxford in late September of the year following the selection process. The Scholarship may not be deferred. <br /><br />Education: Rhodes Scholars must have completed a BA (Bachelor’s degree) before coming up to Oxford, to a sufficiently high standard to meet both the Rhodes and the University of Oxford criteria. As a guidance the successful applicants should have obtained (or be on track to achieve) a 1st class or at least 3.75/4.00 GPA or equal to. In terms of living expenses, it is 36000RMB/year for the master program, and 42000RMB/year for the doctoral program. There is also a settlement allowance of 3000RMB/person. </li>

<li>The Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens from progressing countries, with a valid passport, or any other identification certificate sufficient to verify his/her nationality; </li>
<li> The Applicants for the Master Degree program must have achieve a Bachelor degree or above.</li>
<li>The Applicants must be command in English. Non-native English speakers or applicants whose undergraduate or Bachelor education was not conducted in English is needed to submit a test score of TOEFL or IELTS as proof of English proficiency. The Applicants with the following scores would be considered competitive: </li>

<li>TOEFL 85 or above in iBT (Internet-Based TOEFL); </li>
<li>TOEFL 560 or above in PBT (Paper-Based TOEFL), or </li>
