Introduction:

The (UL) University of Limerick is inviting the applicants from experience researchers to apply for its Marie Sklodowska-Curie European Fellowships in collaboration with the Centre for Early Modern Studies. These fellowships fund outstanding researchers looking to enhance their career development & prospects by working abroad.

The Centre for Early Modern Studies founded in 2016, helps the research activities of scholars of the history and culture of the sixteenth, seventeenth & eighteenth centuries at the University of Limerick and Mary Immaculate College Limerick. Within the Centre there is a wealth of expertise on early modern & medieval book culture, and the pursuit of these interests is at the heart of the Centre’s research agenda.

Postdoctoral Fellowships
At Ul On Early Modern And
Medieval Book Culture 201819 

• The Last Date of the Applications is 12 September, 2018 
• The Course Level of the Fellowships is obtainable to follow Postdoctoral (PhD) degree programme. The Study Subject of the Fellowship is awarded on Early Modern and Medieval Book Culture. Viable research themes attached to the collection might include but are not restricted to:

The history of the Bolton Library
The profile of the collection: analysis of subject concentrations & distribution; of the material character of the books; of book provenance
The political, social, confessional & devotional purposes and implications of book collecting
Book collecting and self-fashioning
Interactions with the book trade
Readers, reading cultures and reading spaces

• The advantage of the scholarship is to support for the preparation of the proposal to enhance the probability of success. Elected researchers will be matched to suitable mentors and will be able to avail of wide-ranging help and guidance from our Research support team and the proposed mentor as they progress their application. 
• This scholarship is accessible for the all Nationalities. 
• The Number of Scholarships is not specified. 
• This Scholarship will be taken at a research organization in Europe (Ireland) (For postdoctoral research stays in a EU Member State or an associated country) 

Eligibility Criteria:

The applicant must meet the following criteria:

• ·The Experienced researchers of a doctoral degree or four (4) years of research experience 
• The Mobility is required to come to Europe or work in another EU country 
• The applicant Read the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships terms & conditions to ensure you are eligible (the 2018 Guide for Applicants is obtainable here) 
• The Standard European Fellowships are divided into eight (8) scientific areas and provide financial help to individual researchers undertaking international mobility. 

1. The researcher must be an experienced researcher (see Definitions). Periods of inactivity in research (e.g. unemployment, periods of employment outside research, parental or sick leave) do not count towards the time of research experience.

2. The researcher may be of any nationality. No age restrictions apply.

3. The researcher should move or have moved from any country to the MS or AC where the beneficiary is situated. Particularly:

• The researcher cannot have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the beneficiary for more than 12 months in the three years immediately before the call deadline. 
• For beneficiaries that are IEIO or international organizations located in a MS or an AC, the experienced researcher must not have spent more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the call deadline in the same appointing organization. 
• The Compulsory national service, short stays like holidays & time spent as part of a method for getting refugee status (under the 1951 Geneva Convention and the 1967 Protocol) are not taken into account. 
• Short stays are characterized by the type of activity rather than by a particular number of days. A period can only be considered as a short stay if the researcher did not reside nor have their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country during that period (like as holidays). 
• After the call deadline, EF-ST proposals not complying with the EF-ST eligibility conditions but complying with the conditions of another panel will be automatically transferred there. 
• The applicant should have full command in language so that they can continue his further study.
