- The study level of the Scholarship is Full-time research higher degree (Research Doctorate degree or Research Master’s degree).
- The Advantage of the Scholarship is covers international applicant tuition fees, a liberal living allowance paid at the rate of $27,082 (2017 rate), and an establishment allowance of up to $1,485 to assist with relocation costs and airfares.

Eligibility Criteria of Scholarship:
The Applicants must satisfy the University’s academic entry requirements for a Master’s degree by research or Doctorate by research (PhD).
The Applicants are needed to have successfully completed minimum the equal to of an Australian First Class Hons degree (this is a 4 year degree with a major research project in the final year)
The Applicants must have met the English proficiency levels set by Flinders University for international students at the time of application. The Students for whom English is a foreign language will need to provide evidence of their English language competence.
The Applicants must not hold an equal to research higher degree qualification. Applications are only begin to students commencing a research higher degree in Australia for the first time.
The Applicants must not hold Australian citizenship, Australian permanent resident status or New Zealand citizenship.

Method of Application:
- The Applicants must provide a certified copy of all university level academic transcripts, translated into English, please do not provide secondary school certificates or non-educational certificates or awards.
- The Applicant must include a research proposal of approximately 500 words in length, outlining the problem, hypothesis or question & the methodology or approach. Academic Referee Report
- The Complete Section A of 2 copies of the Academic Referee’s Confidential Report forms and forwards them to two appropriate referees of your choice. If possible the referees should have an informed, personal and professional knowledge of your academic capability & be able to exercise judgment of your research potential. The Academic Referee reports must be returned to iprs@flinders.edu.au by the closing date.
