CSU Master’s Degree Scholarship in Transportation Engineering in China 2018

Introduction:

The CSU is offering the scholarship of Master’s Degree in Transportation Engineering. This scholarship is obtainable for the Non-Chinese students.

The CSU (Central South University) is a national university of China which is situated in Changsha, Hunan province, central south of People’s Republic of China. The Central South University was founded in April 2000 on the root of the amalgamation of the three former individual universities.

• The Last Date of the Application is 29 June, 2018.
• The Host Institute of the Scholarship is The CSU (Central South University).
• The Course Level of the scholarship is obtainable to follow Master (Post-Graduate) degree programme. 
• The Study Subject of the Scholarships is awarded in the field of Transportation Engineering. 
• The Advantage of the Scholarship is that The Chinese Ministry of Commerce will provide “Chinese Government Scholarships” to admit the applicant from developing countries. These scholarships will cover both tuition and living expenses. 
• They also consists a round-trip international airfare for all the students and a maximum of two round-trip international airfares for home visits applicable only to doctoral students (1 time each year set at the end of an academic year). In terms of living expenses, it is 36000RMB/year for the master program, and 42000RMB/year for the doctoral program. There is also a settlement allowance of 3000RMB/person.

Eligibility Criteria:

The applicant must meet the following criteria:

1. The Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens from progressing countries, with a valid passport, or any other identification certificate sufficient to verify his/her nationality; 
2.  The Applicants for the Master Degree program must have achieve a Bachelor degree or above.
3. The Applicants must be command in English. Non-native English speakers or applicants whose undergraduate or Bachelor education was not conducted in English is needed to submit a test score of TOEFL or IELTS as proof of English proficiency. The Applicants with the following scores would be considered competitive: 

• TOEFL 85 or above in iBT (Internet-Based TOEFL); 
• TOEFL 560 or above in PBT (Paper-Based TOEFL), or 
• IELTS 6.0 or above in overall band score. 

      4. The All applicants should be in better physical conditions and carry no infectious diseases which may have a serious impact on public health or fall into any of the health situations prohibited by China’s Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Laws and Regulations. 

      5. The Only applicants recommended by the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office of Chinese Embassy in the country that accords with the applicant nationality will be considered.

l Visit to the website filling in the form in the electronic version “Application Form of Master’s Degree Program in Transportation Engineering (Rail Transportation Equipment’s) in CSU, printing it and signing it with dates;

l Sending electronic copies of all the application materials to School of Traffic & Transportation Engineering of CSU (Central South University) by Email: yingll@csu.edu.cn;

l If accepted, the applicants should submit the hard copies of all the application materials to School of Traffic & Transportation Engineering of CSU in person when they make registration; 

     2. Application to Chinese Government Scholarship: 

For online application please visit the system of Chinese Scholarship Council and register for an account. opt the program “Chinese Government Scholarship”, fill in all the needed information, and an application form will come into being. Print out the form put on a hand-written name and date, and then post a photo on it. To complete the form successfully, please note the following information:

• For the Master Degree program, Discipline is “Transportation Engineering”, Major is “Rail Transportation Equipment’s”
