Fully Funded International Scholarships Programme in China

Introduction:

The Confucius Institute of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart is now inviting applications for Hanban Scholarship Program for the academic year 2018-19 to study in the People’s Republic of China.

The Confucius Institute gives promotion to the knowledge of Chinese language & culture and in universities also in the largest local community and University was created in 2009 by the collaboration between the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Beijing Language, Culture University (BLCU) and Confucius Institute Headquarters / Hanban (the Office for the progress of Chinese abroad, attached with the Beijing Ministry of Education).

Description of Scholarship:

Fully Funded International Scholarships
 Programme in China

• The last date of this scholarship is 30 May, 2018 (Annual). 
• The Course Level of this Scholarship is accessible to following undergraduate, master and language programme. 
• The Host Institute of this scholarship is The Confucius Institute of the Catholic University.
• The Scholarship Award of Study Scholars consist of: 

i) Fees of University
ii) Accommodation (Living Quarters) in a double room inside a university student or a housing grant of about 700 RMB per month.
iii) The Multi-risk insurance for overseas students in China. We suggest an additional policy.
iv) Monthly grant provided by the host University for (Grant not granted for grants 5)
v) 2,500 RMB for scholarships nr. 2, nr. 3 and nr. 4
vi) RMB 3,000 for scholarships n. 1

• This Scholarship does not cover below points. 

i) Travel expenses/visa
ii) Accommodation other than basic living quarters on campus
iii) All expenditure which is not listed in the announcement

• The Study Subject of this Scholarship is awarded to study which is given below: 

i) Bachelor’s Degree Program -Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages ??(BTCSOL)
ii) Master’s Degree Program -Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages??(MTCSOL)
iii) Language Program of an academic year: Maximum duration: 11 months
iv) Scholarship: Teaching Chinese to Foreigners (TCSOL: Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages)
v) Language Program of an academic semester: Maximum duration: 5 months
vi) Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese History and Chinese Philosophy
vii) Chinese Language
viii) Full scholarship TCSOL, Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese History and Chinese Philosophy
ix) Scholarship of Chinese Medicine, Taijiquan
x) Chinese Language scholarship with accommodation in a Chinese family
xi) Scholarship complete with Chinese culture (Chinese Medicine and Taijiquan)
xii) Short Language Program

• This scholarship is available for the Non-Chinese students who can apply. 
• The number of scholarship is not specified. 
• This scholarship will be given in the country of China. 

Eligibility Criteria of Scholarship:

The applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree Program - Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages??(BTCSOL) 

Requirements: HSK 4 (vote min 210)
Intermediate HSKK (Min. Vote 60) 

The maximum duration of 4 academic years (commencing from 1/9/2018)

2. Master’s Degree Program -Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages??(MTCSOL) 

Requirements: HSK 5 (vote min 210)
Intermediate HSKK (Min. Vote 60)
Bachelor degree
The maximum duration of 2 academic years (commencing from 1/9/2018)

3. Language Program of an academic semester

Requirements: HSK 3 (vote min 210)
HSKK 

Maximum duration: 5 months - starting from 1/9/2018 or from 1/3/2019
Full scholarship TCSOL, Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese History and Chinese Philosophy

4. Scholarship complete with Chinese culture (Chinese Medicine and Taijiquan)

Requirements: 

HSK certificate

5. Language Program of an academic year.

HSK 3 (vote min 270)
HSKK

Maximum duration: 11 months – only commencing from 1/9/2018  
Scholarship: Teaching Chinese to Foreigners (TCSOL: Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages)

6. Scholarship: Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese History and Chinese Philosophy.

Requirements: HSK 4 (vote at least 180)
Intermediate HSKK (Min. Vote 60)

7. Scholarship: Chinese Language

Requirements: HSK 3 (vote at least 180)

8. Short Language Program 

Requirements: 

• Knowledge of Chinese language proven by an HSK certificate 
• Scholarship of Chinese Medicine, Taijiquan 
• Chinese Language scholarship with accommodation (Living Quarters) in a Chinese family 
• Maximum duration: 4 weeks – July 2018 or December 2018 
• The Confucius Institute of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart is Reserved for groups of students (between 10 and 15) 
• The fellows will follow Chinese language courses and will experience life within a Chinese family 
• Scholarship for students of the Confucius Institute and Confucius Halls 
• The Confucius Institute of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart is reserved for groups of students (between 10 and 15) of 
• The applicants usually needed to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University and should be full command in English and valid certificate.
