Introduction of Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB):
The Islamia University is one of the religious University in Pakistan which is located in Bahawalpur, Punjab. The Islamia University was founded in 1975 in the month of March which is affiliated by HEC, PEC and PPC. It’s begun providing Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) program in 1989 as well separate Master Degree program in Pakistan Studies in 2002. In 2003/2004 the department started separately Program of M.Phil, History and Pakistan Studies.
If we give go the history of Islamia University so it was founded by the Nawab of Bahawalpur. The vice-Chancellor was Muhammad KHAN Abbasi in 1925. In starting the Department give full focus on Islamic History through creating the Islamia University of Bahawalpur 1975. The department gave a new name as Department of History and Pakistan Studies in 1986 and resumed its nomenclature in 2012.
