Introduction:


The Rotary Foundation is providing 100 fully funded academic fellowships for whole world students. There are two types of peace fellowships are accessible such as master and professional development certificate fellowships.

The Rotary Peace Fellowship is premier academic scholarship of The Rotary Foundation, helping Rotary’s mission to authorize, educate and increase the capacity of peace builders through rigorous academic training, practice, and global networking chances.

The fellowships are planned or meant for individuals, who chosen a career related to international relations, peace and disagreement resolution, who have work experience in these areas and who have a enthusiasm to community or international humanitarian service and to working for peace. The Applicants must think about these goals carefully before applying for this scholarship.

Rotary Peace Fellowships for International
Students 2018-2019
  • The last date of this scholarship is 31 May 2018 (Annual). 
  • The scholarship is awarded to Professional Development Certificate Program or Master’s Degree in fields related to peace and disagreement resolution and prevention. 
  • The host institute of this scholarship is Duke University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in USA, International Christian University in Japan, University of Bradford in UK (United Kingdom) and University of Queensland in Australia and Uppsala University in Sweden or a professional development certificate at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. 
  • This scholarship covers tuition fees, room and board, round-trip transportation, all internship and study expenditure. 
  • This scholarship is awarded to the international students. 
  • There are Up to 50 fellowships for Master’s degree and 50 for certificate studies are awarded per year. 
  • This Scholarship will be given in Rotary Peace Centers.

Eligibility of the Scholarship:


The Entrance Requirements of The Rotary Peace Fellowship is well-designed for professionals with work experience in international relations or peace and conflict prevention and resolution. Our fellows are committed to community and international service and the pursuit of peace. The Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Proficiency in English; proficiency in a second language is powerfully recommended

The powerful Strong commitment to international understanding and peace as demonstrated through professional and academic accomplishment and personal or community service

Excellent leadership skills

Master’s degree applicants: at least three years of related full-time work or volunteer experience, bachelor’s degree

Certificate applicants: at least five years of related full-time work or volunteer experience, strong academic background

Method of Applying;


  • Prior to interviews, fill out the online application, attach the needed supplementary materials (essays, test scores, academic or professional proposal), and submit them to your Rotary district before the deadline which is 31 May.
  • The applicant Complete an interview with district representatives. The Districts should submit endorsed applications to The Rotary Foundation by 1 July. 
  • The Master’s degree applicants should collect all academic transcripts, test scores, and any other documents needed by tend to choose universities as noted on the fellowship application. All supplementary materials should be in English. Certificate applicants and Academic transcripts or scores are not required. 
  • In a thorough manner research the curriculum and programs at each of the Rotary Peace Centers before commencing your online application. You will be asked to rank the centers in order of importance. 
  • The applicant Inform your local Rotary district that you are applying for a peace fellowship, and request an interview. District endorsement is needed to complete the application procedure. TIP, your local Rotary club can support you to connect with your district. Use Club Finder to locate the club nearest you. Club interviews and endorsements are powerfully motivated but not needed for applicants who have district support. 
  • The Applicants will receive notice of selection results in November. If you are selected for a fellowship, you will receive the name of the Peace Center where you will study. 
  • The applicants apply for admission to the university where you will study. Being selected for a fellowship does not mean you have been admitted to the university.
